JOB DESCRIPTION

My client, a leading automotive services provider renowned for unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, is seeking a Service Manager for their newly established Motor Depot in Co. Cork

Position Overview:


As a Service Manager in a motor depot, you will be responsible for overseeing all service operations, ensuring that vehicle repairs, maintenance, and inspections are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You will manage a team of technicians and service staff, coordinating workflow, allocating resources, and ensuring the timely completion of all service tasks.

The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with customers, handling inquiries, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Your goal will be to optimize depot performance, achieve service targets, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:


• Proven experience in service management, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and manage customer relations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for service management.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and make effective decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities:


• Oversee day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
• Manage and lead a team of service staff, ensuring optimal performance and development.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
• Monitor service performance and work to meet or exceed KPIs and business objectives.
• Coordinate with other departments to streamline operations and resolve any service-related issues.
• Prepare and present reports on service department performance to senior management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
