JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a fast-growing and innovative company dedicated to making a positive impact both in their operations and their environmental responsibility. They are seeking a dynamic and driven EHS & Property Manager to join their team and take a leading role in shaping the company’s health, safety, and environmental practices.
Position Overview:
As the EHS & Property Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while also managing the company's facilities across multiple sites. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• EHS Compliance: Ensure compliance with Irish/EU environmental and health & safety regulations.
• Guidance and Leadership: Provide expert EHS guidance and foster a safety culture across the organisation.
• Hands-On Management: Oversee documentation, audits, risk assessments, and manage incident investigations.
• Training & Development: Develop and deliver EHS training programmes for staff.
• Incident Management: Lead auditing, accident investigations, and risk assessments, ensuring proper evaluation and controls.
• Facilities Management: Maintain high standards at all locations, managing supplier contracts and facility services.
• Security & Emergency Preparedness: Oversee site security and develop emergency plans.
• Environmental Initiatives: Lead sustainability efforts such as energy monitoring and waste management.
• Growth Support: Assist with service centre acquisitions, lease negotiations, and the expansion of the business.
Requirements:
• Experience: At least 3 years as an EHS practitioner, ideally in a similar-sized company. Experience in the motor industry is a plus.
• Education : Minimum QQI Level 7 in Health & Safety or related discipline. Chartered IOSH member or equivalent is an advantage.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Irish/EU health, safety, and environmental regulations. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 experience required.
• Property & Facilities Management: Proven experience managing safety, property, and facilities across multiple sites.
• Skills : Strong strategic thinking and hands-on execution skills, with the ability to manage day-to-day tasks while thinking big picture.
• Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
