Position Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and maintaining the financial health of fitout projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts for fitout projects. - Develop tender documents, evaluate contractor bids, and negotiate contracts to ensure best value. - Conduct regular valuations of completed work and prepare accurate payment applications. - Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and cost targets. - Identify and manage project risks, ensuring appropriate contingencies are in place. - Provide detailed cost reports, financial statements, and updates to stakeholders. - Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on fitout projects. - Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. - Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, contracts (e.g., RIAI, JCT), and cost control systems. - Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel, CostX, or similar tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly. - Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. - Proven ability to anticipate issues and deliver innovative solutions. - Strong teamwork skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders. - Based in or willing to commute to North Dublin.
